Committees
Memphis Habitat has committees that work year-round to support the organization’s mission. Most committees meet monthly and on an as-needed basis surrounding special events and initiatives. Individuals with special skills and talents that could be helpful to a particular committee’s work are urged to participate, but no prior experience is required. The following are some of the most active committees within Memphis Habitat:
Construction – assists in planning for and leading volunteers during each building cycle
Volunteer – works in build site Quality Assurance, plans special events and does speaking engagements
Family Services – reviews applications, makes home visits and follows up with current homeowners
Development – serves as key fundraising entity, with regard to major gifts, special events, etc.
Youth United – help plan fundraisers, awareness events and organize fellow youth volunteers in preparation for the annual Youth Build
Special Events – help plan one or more of Habitat annual fundraising events
Sponsorship - help recruit corporate, small business and faith-based sponsors to participate in Habitat building projects
