Financial Peace University
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis homeowners are required to complete our 15-week Homeowner Preparedness Course which is designed to equip them with the tools to become successful first-time homeowners.
The intensive two-hour sessions are led by Micheal Clark, Habitat’s Director of Family Services, and are based on Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.
Local experts lead presentations on insurance, will planning, energy efficiency and safety. Habitat’s construction staff leads a course on basic home maintenance and repair. Individual budget counseling with Habitat’s Director of Family Services is required in addition to the group courses.
The courses are open to the public and are conducted on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8pm at the Habitat for Humanity office located at 169 Scott Street. Advanced registration is required. Call 761.4771 for additional information.
