Q & A with Habitat Hero Melissa Moore

1. How long have you lived in Memphis? I have lived in Memphis my whole life.

2. How long have you volunteered with Habitat? I have been volunteering with Habitat for about a year now.

3. How did you get involved with Habitat? I got involved through the National Honor Society at my school.

4. What kind of activities have you participated in during your time as a volunteer? I have helped with four different builds, am active as a Youth United member, and participated in an alternative spring break Habitat trip.

5. Why do you volunteer your time with Habitat? It makes me feel good to help someone have a better home.

6. Do you have a favorite Habitat moment you would like to share?
While working with Habitat in Florida on my spring break trip, we were demolishing a house and I got the chance to use a power tool for the first time.

7. Do you have any personal details you would like to add? My dad joins me at the build every Saturday.
