Guests are asked to bring a donation of any size for Habitat to help ensure their party is a successful Huddle!

Eighty parties in the Memphis area "huddled up" for Habitat during the Matrix Achievement Group HOME TEAM HUDDLE on Super Sunday, February 7, 2010. Ilace Mears was the winner of the 2010 NFL drawing, so she will be headed to an NFL game of her choice this fall! Congratulations Ilace, and thanks again to everyone who hosted or attended a party!

Previous winners, The Perry Family, traveled to San Francisco, all expenses paid, to see the San Francisco 49ers play the Atlanta Falcons. Read their story below:

"Imagine our surprise when the e-mail came telling us that our 12-year -old son had won the Grand Prize for the 2009 HOME TEAM HUDDLE. We could not believe what we were reading!

As a family we had decided to invite neighbors and friends to our party, offering our near famous homemade pizza in exchange for participation in the fundraising effort. Participation was great! We added to the fun by having a football skills contest where the $5 entry fee went to Habitat.

This great party turned into a valuable learning experience for both our children. They decided to make donations from their hard-earned dog-sitting money and were entered into the grand prize drawing. When our son, Cole, was picked as the winner, we decided to use some frequent flyer miles and extra vacation time to make it a family trip to San Francisco. Cole picked the destination based on who was playing over fall break in a destination that would be fun to visit. He quickly studied up on the 49ers, and we were on our way. For five days, we told everyone who cared to listen about hour our son had been rewarded for his good deed."
