Habitat Makes Construction Chic at 13th Tool Box Bash

Live and silent auction event Dec. 5, online auction Dec. 1-12

Before long, it’ll be time for holiday revelers to come together and eat, drink, dance and bid the night away, all to help raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis. The 13th Annual Valero Memphis Refinery Tool Box Bash will take place Friday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Great Hall, located at 1900 S. Germantown Road in Germantown, Tenn.

Party Planet will entertain event goers as they enjoy food from Heart & Soul Catering, dessert from The Creamery Memphis and beverages from The Stellar Cellar, Eagle Distributing Memphis and Coca-Cola. An assortment of items, including trips, unique experiences, furniture, restaurant gift certificates, jewelry, a Coach purse, a Gibson guitar and more will be available for bidding during the live and silent auctions. Guests can also try their luck at The Stellar Cellar-sponsored Wall of Wine where, for a small donation, they can select a “mystery” bottle of wine. Hotshots Photobooth will be onsite to provide guests with festive mementos of the evening. The evening’s festivities will be presided over by one of Memphis’ most energetic and beloved radio hosts for 28 years – V101 and WDIA’s Stan Bell!

In addition to exciting items, Tool Box Bash’s live auction will feature a “Fund-A-Need” auction, sponsored by First Tennessee Bank. The Fund-A-Need auction helps raise funds for a specific program or project at Memphis Habitat, and the 2014 Fund-A-Need will raise funds to support an Aging in Place initiative in 2015. Fund-A-Need donations are 100% tax-deductible. Tool Box Bash also will host an online auction from Dec. 1-12 at www.ToolBoxBash.com

All proceeds from the Tool Box Bash go to support Memphis Habitat’s work – making it possible for local families to build and buy homes for the first time and supporting the organization’s rehab and critical home repair program in the Uptown neighborhood.

“The Valero Memphis Refinery Tool Box Bash truly has something for everyone – exciting auction items, delicious refreshments and great entertainment. It’s a fun way to do some holiday shopping, and most importantly, it helps raise funds to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission in Memphis,” said Jessica Hord, director of marketing and communications at Memphis Habitat. “We want to thank our sponsors for helping make Tool Box Bash possible and encourage the Memphis community to bid online or come to the event Dec. 5 for a good time for a great cause!”

General admission tickets remain available for $50. Reserved tables of 10 are available for $600, but quantities are limited. Tickets may be purchased at www.ToolBoxBash.com or by calling Shanda Wicker at (901) 322-3504. Individual tickets also will be available at the door.
