In honor of Father’s Day, Memphis-area Flying Saucer Draught Emporium locations will host “Tools for Brews,” a tool trade-in event Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday, June 15 from noon to midnight at its Downtown Memphis location at 130 Peabody Place and its Cordova location at 1400 North Germantown Parkway.
Customers can trade in new or gently used tools for a pint of Dogfish Head’s seasonal Aprihop, an American IPA brewed with pilsner and crystal malts. All tools received will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis for use by crews on house-building sites.
“This is a great opportunity for Memphians to celebrate fathers while giving back to an organization working to provide decent, affordable housing to families in our community,” said Kirk Caliendo, general manager of Flying Saucer. “Fatherhood is not required to participate, though. If you want to help our local Habitat for Humanity build more homes, bring a tool to donate and get fun reward on us.”
No purchase is necessary to participate; limited to one pint per person regardless of number of tools donated. Must be 21 years of age or older to participate. For more information about the event, please call 901-523-7468.
