Meet Andreah

A mother’s determination to rebuild stability.
For Andreah, owning a home was more than a dream; it was a legacy she hoped to pass on to her children. She grew up with the security of a stable home and believed her grandmother’s house would one day provide that same foundation for her family.
But after her grandmother passed away, Andreah learned that an equity loan had been taken out on the property. The home fell into foreclosure. What she thought would be her family’s forever home slipped away. She was heartbroken, but not defeated.
Determined to create a stable future for her children, Andreah turned to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis.

At first, she didn’t meet the requirements for the homebuyer program, but Andreah didn’t give up. She came back, worked hard to qualify, and committed herself fully to the process. Through her dedication, she completed her required partnership hours, attended homebuyer education classes, and saved for her down payment and emergency fund.
Because of her resilience and the support of Memphis Habitat, Andreah is now a proud homeowner.

She told us that the moment she walked through the threshold of her new house, she felt it:
“This is home.”

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Andreah’s children now have a place where they can grow, thrive, and dream, just like she did.
