Memphis is facing an affordable housing crisis, and the need is only growing. At Memphis Habitat we believe a stable, affordable home doesn’t just change one life. It strengthens families and uplifts entire neighborhoods. That is why we launched Framing the Future—our largest fundraising effort to date.
Our $62 million, five-year campaign will tackle the crisis head-on by building more homes, supporting more seniors, and investing in a stronger Memphis for generations to come.
Memphis Habitat's Capital Campaign
New Homes
$30 million
Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will build and sell 150 homes to qualifying buyers with affordable, no-interest Memphis Habitat mortgages.
AIP Repairs
$19 million
Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will provide 1,250 senior homeowners with home modifications that allow them to age in their homes safely and keep the asset in the family.
Land & Community Development
$8 million
Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will build our land and community development fund so we can acquire viable properties and invest in infrastructure for future developments.
Capacity Building
$3 million
Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will invest in technology, facilities, and talent to ensure that we remain a resource for the community for years to come.
ReStore Earned Income
$2 million
Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will invest in the ReStore’s staff and ability to source, store, and sell adequate inventory so that we can respond to community needs and direct funds where they are needed most.

Memphis Habitat is proud to announce Framing the Future, our most ambitious capital campaign in our 43-year history. With a goal of raising $62 million, this campaign will fuel our strategic plan and transform the future of affordable housing in Memphis. Over the next five years, Memphis Habitat will build 150 new homes with affordable mortgages, complete 1,250 home repairs and modifications to help older adults age in place, create a land acquisition and development fund, strengthen internal capacity and technology, and invest in the Memphis ReStore to grow sustainable income for our mission.

The Future of Habitat Homes in Memphis
Memphis Habitat is proud to announce the Chelsea Avenue Development—our largest community to date, with 52 new homes in Uptown and North Memphis. These semi-attached, single-family homes feature modern, energy-efficient construction, luxury finishes, and accessible layouts. With three- and four-bedroom options, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and durable flooring, the homes will provide long-term affordability, comfort, and stability for families in our community. This innovative project represents a new chapter in building stronger, more connected neighborhoods.
