Maria's Story

Every mother needs to know her children have a stable place to call home. “Everything started from this house,” – Maria, a Memphis Habitat homeowner since 2001 Maria wanted to buy a home for her children. She wanted them to know they wouldn’t have to move again. She wanted to feel secure, so her kids would feel secure. Halima and Ahmed's Story

Every parent wants a better future for their family For Halima and Ahmed, “laundry day” was no exaggeration. Their overcrowded apartment didn’t provide laundry facilities. Ahmed is a retail sales associate, Halima stays home with the children, and they only have one car.
