Habitat 600th Home

Memphis Habitat Celebrates our 600th Home

MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis Habitat is honored to celebrate the completion of our 600th home — the latest to be completed on Carver Street in Castalia Heights. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis has had the opportunity to build more than 20 houses on this street, allowing multiple Mid-South families to have their dreams come true

Latonya and her son Marco’s journey toward homeownership is a true testament to the transformative power of our donors' generous support. This family dedicated themselves to completing a 13-week homebuyer education program and committed more than 200 hours of sweat equity by volunteering at the Memphis Habitat build site, our ReStore, and with other nonprofit organizations. We’re making miracles happen every day at Memphis Habitat.

Since 1983, our goal has been to ensure everyone in the 901 has a place to live. The demand for affordable homes is increasing, and Memphis Habitat is determined to meet that need. We’ve set a goal to build 30 homes this year and 150 new homes over the next five years. With your help, we can reach this vision and help more families like Latonya and Marco achieve their dreams of homeownership in the Mid-South.
