COLLIERVILLE, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis is excited to announce that its second ReStore is officially open in Collierville, Tennessee. As many know, the ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, and housewares at discounted prices.

Memphis Habitat is thankful to have raised $94,000 during the ReStore grand opening events! Without our generous and committed supporters, Memphis Habitat would not be able to accomplish our overarching goal of ensuring everyone in the 901 has a decent place to live.  

The Collierville location is also the future home of several members of Memphis Habitat’s administrative staff. This shift will increase educational and programming space at Memphis Habitat’s headquarters on Winchester Road.

“Our location on Winchester Road has been key to Memphis Habitat’s success since we opened the ReStore and relocated our headquarters in 2011. We’ve grown dramatically – operationally and programmatically – over the past 13 years,” said Dwayne Spencer, Memphis Habitat president and CEO. “We already knew it was time to identify our second ReStore location to raise more funds to serve local homebuyers, and we found the optimal property to house our next ReStore, as well as support our growing team as we expand operations to serve more individuals in the region.”

ReStore is the ongoing fundraiser for Memphis Habitat. Every ReStore purchase directly supports the homebuying program for applicants who qualify to buy a home with an affordable, zero-interest mortgage and the Aging in Place program. You can also donate new and gently used items to Memphis ReStore.

The need for affordable homeownership is growing. Memphis Habitat is preparing to meet that need by ensuring everyone has equitable access to homeownership.
